Identity
Despite the LGBTQIA+ community having gained a series of rights in recent decades, the transgender population continues to be overlooked in various aspects. In 2022, the approval of a new ID card model incorporating fields such as gender and civil registration above a person's chosen names has placed transgender individuals who are yet to undergo the name rectification process in a precarious and vulnerable situation. Therefore, we orchestrated a petition in collaboration with ANTRA, which in 2023 successfully resulted in a more inclusive ID card framework which caters to the needs of all individuals.
